The images are produced is the Pentelis-Chalandriou stream, located in the north suburbs of Athens/Greece which is a green route in a fertile landscape of natural vegetation and is considered as one of the last wild habitats of Athens. It has been standing strong for thousands of years. In the ancient years it was surrounded by a valley but not anymore. It is now surrounded by densely populated areas. It is the homeland for a wide variety of birds and animals and is considered as one of the last wild habitats of Athens.
Exploring the stream at night can be an overwhelming yet fulfilling experience, tranquil and unsettling at the same time, often providing a generous dose of fear, uneasiness and a feeling of enclosure and secrecy. Shadows unseen during the day become magical at night and it is at those moments that the line between realism and imagination blurs and the two intersect activating the subconscious mind. The stream becomes a layered, complex and atmospheric dreamland where fascinating discoveries are to be made.
